Employee Quickstart

Your company uses Tellus EHS to manage chemical safety and compliance. As an employee, you have access to Safety Data Sheets for the chemicals at your site, assigned training courses, and your personal certifications. Here's how to get started.


Step 1: Check Your Email

Look for an invitation email from your company. It contains a link to set up your Tellus account. Click the link, create your password, and you're in.

Step 2: Log In

After setting your password, log in to Tellus. You'll see your personal dashboard with quick links to your assigned training, your site's chemical inventory, and any notifications from your safety team.

Step 3: Find Safety Data Sheets

Need to look up a chemical? Go to ChemIQ and open the SDS Library. You can search by product name, manufacturer, or CAS number. Every chemical at your site has a Safety Data Sheet that tells you:

  • What hazards the chemical presents
  • What personal protective equipment (PPE) you need
  • What to do in case of a spill or exposure
  • First aid measures and emergency contacts

OSHA requires that you have access to SDSs for every hazardous chemical in your work area. Tellus makes that access instant.

Step 4: Complete Your Assigned Training

Go to SafePath and open My Training. You'll see a list of courses your manager or trainer has assigned to you. Each course includes lessons and a quiz at the end.

Work through each course at your own pace. When you pass the quiz, Tellus records your completion and generates a certificate. If a course has a due date, make sure to finish before the deadline -- your manager can see your progress.

Step 5: View Your Certifications

After completing training, your certificates are saved to your profile. You can view and download them anytime. If a certification has an expiration date, Tellus notifies you before it expires so you can complete refresher training on time.


Good to Know

  • Your access is site-specific. You can only see chemicals, SDSs, and training for the site(s) your admin has assigned you to.
  • Need access to another site? Contact your admin or manager to update your site assignment.
  • Can't find a chemical? If a product at your workstation isn't in the inventory, let your manager know so they can add it.
