Manager Quickstart

Your admin has invited you to Tellus EHS and assigned you to manage one or more sites. This guide covers the five things you should do first to get up to speed.
Step 1: Accept Your Invitation
Check your email for an invitation from your company. Click the link to set your password and activate your account. If you already have a Tellus account from another company, the invitation links to your existing account automatically.
Step 2: Select Your Site
After logging in, use the site selector in the top header bar to choose the site you manage. All inventory, compliance data, and team information is filtered by your selected site. If you manage multiple sites, you can switch between them at any time.
Step 3: Browse Your Chemical Inventory
Navigate to ChemIQ to see the chemicals at your site. The inventory shows every product along with its hazard classifications, SDS status, storage locations, and quantities. This is your real-time view of what's on-site and whether everything is properly documented.
If your admin has already uploaded Safety Data Sheets, you'll see parsed chemical data here. If the inventory is empty, that's your cue to start adding chemicals.
Step 4: Try Quick Import
The fastest way to add chemicals is Quick Import. You have two options:
- Photo Capture -- Take a photo of a chemical product label with your device's camera. Tellus reads the label and matches it to an SDS in the database.
- Barcode Scan -- Scan the product's barcode to look it up instantly.
Your submissions go into a review queue. You or another manager can approve them to add the chemicals to your site's official inventory.

Step 5: Check Your Team's Training Status
Go to Insights to see how your team is doing on assigned training. The dashboard shows completion rates, overdue assignments, and upcoming certification expirations for your site. This is the quickest way to identify who needs attention.
