Disclaimer — No Legal, Medical, or Regulatory Advice
This page summarizes the disclaimers that already appear in the Terms of Service (see §7, §8, and §18). It is provided as a standalone, easy-to-reference page so customers, employees, contractors, and visitors can quickly understand what Tellus EHS is — and is not.
If anything on this page conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.
1. Tellus EHS is software, not advice
Tellus EHS ("Tellus," "we," "us") provides software tools for hazard communication and EHS compliance management. We are not a law firm, regulatory agency, medical provider, occupational-health professional, certified industrial hygienist, or compliance certifier.
Nothing produced by, displayed in, or generated from the Tellus EHS Platform — including, without limitation:
- AI-generated HazCom plans, sections, summaries, or drafts;
- AI-generated SafePath training content, lessons, or quiz questions;
- AI-generated ChemIQ insights, hazard categorizations, signal-word distributions, or PPE recommendations;
- EHS Brain / EHS Agent findings, alerts, prioritizations, or recommended actions;
- Safety Data Sheet (SDS) summaries, extractions, or hazard cards;
- Tier II, EPCRA, or other regulatory-filing previews or drafts;
- Free public tools, blog posts, FAQ pages, or marketing content;
— constitutes legal advice, medical advice, regulatory advice, occupational-health advice, industrial-hygiene advice, certification, or any professional services.
2. You are responsible for compliance decisions
You — the customer organization and the individuals using the Platform — are solely responsible for:
- Verifying the accuracy of any output produced by the Platform against authoritative sources, including the original Safety Data Sheet, applicable OSHA / EPA / DOT / state regulations, and the actual conditions in your workplace;
- Having a qualified person (such as a HazCom coordinator, safety manager, industrial hygienist, EHS consultant, or licensed professional) review and approve safety-critical content before it is published, assigned, posted, or relied upon;
- Determining whether the Platform's outputs meet your applicable legal and regulatory requirements;
- Maintaining your own compliance program, training records, and recordkeeping obligations.
3. AI is a starting point, not the final answer
The Platform uses artificial intelligence and large language models to produce drafts, summaries, suggestions, and recommendations. AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, hallucinations, or content that is incorrect for your specific situation. AI is provided as a decision-support tool to accelerate human work — it is not a substitute for professional judgment.
Always review AI-generated content with a qualified person before relying on it for safety, training, regulatory, or compliance decisions.
4. Regulations change; software may lag
Regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, EPCRA / Tier II, state and local rules, GHS revisions, and others) change over time. While we work to keep the Platform current, there may be delays between a regulatory change and updates to the Platform. You are responsible for staying informed about regulatory changes that affect your organization.
5. No professional relationship is created
Use of the Platform — including paid subscriptions, free tools, demonstrations, trials, marketing pages, and support communications — does not create an attorney-client, physician-patient, consultant-client, certifier-client, or any other professional relationship between you and Tellus.
6. Emergencies
The Platform is not an emergency-response system. In the event of a chemical spill, fire, explosion, medical emergency, or any situation that threatens life, health, property, or the environment, contact your local emergency services (in the United States, dial 911) and follow your organization's emergency-response plan. Do not rely on the Platform, its alerts, its AI outputs, or any of its features to substitute for trained emergency responders or established emergency procedures.
7. Third-party content
The Platform may display or summarize content from third parties, including Safety Data Sheets published by chemical manufacturers, regulatory list data, and other public sources. Tellus does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or currency of third-party content. Always confirm against the original source.
8. Limitation of liability
The disclaimers on this page are in addition to — not in place of — the limitations of liability, disclaimers of warranties, and indemnification provisions in the Terms of Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tellus's total liability arising from or related to your use of the Platform is limited as set forth in the Terms of Service.
