Profile Settings

For: All users | Tier: All plans

Your profile settings control your personal information and preferences. These are separate from your company role — changes here affect your account across all companies you belong to, but they don't change what you can access.

Personal Information

Update your name and contact details from your profile:

  • Full name — The name that appears in user lists, training records, and audit logs
  • Phone number — Optional contact number (visible to your administrators)

Your email address is your login identifier and cannot be changed from the profile page. If you need to change your login email, contact your company administrator.

Change Your Password

  1. Open your Profile Settings
  2. Click Change Password
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter your new password (minimum 8 characters)
  5. Confirm your new password
  6. Click Save

Your new password takes effect immediately. You won't be logged out of your current session, but your next login will require the new password.

If you've forgotten your current password, use the Forgot password? link on the login page instead. See Sign In for details.

Notification Preferences

Control which email notifications you receive from Tellus:

Notification TypeWhat It Covers
Training assignmentsWhen new training is assigned to you or is approaching its due date
Training remindersReminders for overdue training or expiring certifications
Compliance alertsWhen compliance issues are detected (missing SDS, quantity thresholds, etc.)
Import updatesWhen your Quick Import submissions are reviewed or approved
System announcementsPlatform updates, maintenance windows, and new feature announcements

Toggle each notification type on or off based on your preferences. Critical security notifications (password resets, account changes) are always sent and cannot be disabled.

What Profile Settings Don't Control

Your profile is about who you are, not what you can do. The following are managed by your company administrator, not your profile:

  • Your role — Assigned by an admin (see Users & Roles)
  • Your site access — Which sites you can see
  • Your permissions — What features you can use
  • Your company membership — Which companies you belong to
