Billing & Subscription

The Billing section in AdminHQ gives you full visibility into your subscription plan, usage metrics, and payment details. You can see exactly how much of your plan you're using, compare available plans, and upgrade when your team outgrows its current tier.


Plan & Usage

The Plan & Usage tab is your subscription dashboard. At the top, you'll see your current plan displayed prominently with its status:

  • Active — Your subscription is in good standing
  • Trial — You're in your 14-day free trial (a banner shows how many days remain)
  • Past Due — A payment has failed and needs attention
  • Canceled — Your subscription has been canceled
  • Expired — Your trial or subscription period has ended

Usage Metrics

Below your plan card, usage bars show how much of your plan's limits you're consuming:

When a usage bar reaches 80%, it turns red to alert you that you're approaching your limit. If you hit the limit, you'll need to upgrade to add more.

Enabled Modules

A list of the modules currently active on your account. Different plans include different modules:

Comparing Plans

The Available Plans section shows all three tiers side by side — Starter, Standard, and Pro. Each card displays:

  • Plan name and description
  • Resource limits (sites, locations, users)
  • Included modules
  • An Upgrade or Downgrade button (depending on whether the plan is above or below your current tier)

Your current plan is highlighted with a blue border so you can easily spot where you are.


Upgrading Your Plan

When you upgrade:

  • Access is immediate — New modules and higher limits are available as soon as the upgrade processes
  • Prorated billing — You're charged the difference for the remainder of your current billing period
  • No data loss — All your existing data remains intact; you simply gain access to more features

To upgrade: click Upgrade on the plan you want, review the changes, and confirm.

Downgrading Your Plan

When you downgrade:

  • Takes effect at the end of your billing period — You keep full access to your current plan until the period ends
  • Feature access is locked — At renewal, features exclusive to your old plan become read-only. Your data is preserved but you cannot create new items using those features.
  • Limit enforcement — If you're over the new plan's limits (e.g., 8 users on a Starter plan that allows 5), you'll need to deactivate users before the downgrade takes effect

Billing Details

The Billing Details tab manages your payment information:

  • Payment method — Add or update your credit card
  • Billing address — The address associated with your payment method
  • Billing contact — The email address that receives invoices and payment notifications

This feature is coming soon. During the beta period, billing is managed by the Tellus team.


Invoices & Exports

The Invoices & Exports tab provides your billing history:

  • Invoice list — All past invoices with date, amount, and status
  • Download — Click any invoice to view or export as PDF
  • Export billing data — Download your complete billing history as CSV for your accounting team

This feature is coming soon.


Free Trial

Every new Tellus account starts with a 14-day free trial on the Standard plan. During the trial:

  • You have full access to all Standard plan features
  • A trial banner in the Billing section shows how many days remain
  • No credit card is required to start
  • At the end of the trial, you choose a plan or your account reverts to Starter
