The first available plan type is the Written Hazard Communication Program required by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1200. More plan types are on the way.
Why Plan Builder Matters
Every employer with hazardous chemicals in the workplace must maintain a written HazCom plan. OSHA inspectors ask for it first. If you do not have one, or if it is outdated, you face citations and fines. The Plan Builder takes the complexity out of this requirement by walking you through each section, pulling data from your existing Tellus setup, and producing a document that stands up to inspection.

- Split-View Editor -- Edit your plan content on the left while seeing a live-rendered preview on the right.
- Approval Workflow -- Route plans through a formal review process. Approvers can approve with notes or reject with a required reason.
- Version Management -- Every edit creates a traceable version. Create new versions from active or archived plans without losing history.
- Audit Trail -- Every action is logged with timestamps and user attribution. Export the full log as CSV for your compliance files.
- PDF Export -- Generate professional PDFs with a cover page, table of contents, and all plan sections formatted for printing or filing.
- Annual Review Reminders -- When you publish a plan, the next review date is automatically set to 365 days out.
How It Works
- Create a new plan -- Navigate to Plan Builder, select your site, choose Basic or AI-Powered, and name your plan.
- Complete the readiness check -- Review your company data and chemical inventory. Exclude chemicals that are no longer on-site or exempt.
- Answer the questionnaire -- Work through each of the 7 OSHA sections. AI suggestions appear automatically on Premium plans.
- Generate plan content -- The system compiles your answers into a formatted document. AI-Powered plans produce consultant-grade content.
- Review and edit -- Use the split-view editor to refine the generated content.
- Submit for approval -- Send the plan to an authorized reviewer.
- Publish -- Once approved, publish the plan to make it the active plan for the site.
